Michelle's Message: Upcoming Events

Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians 10:31

Okaloosa/Walton FCA has lots of exciting events coming up:

The All Sports FCA Breakfast will be February 13, 2015 at 7:00 a.m. Over 1000 people in one room celebrating all the FCA student huddles, student athletes and the community that supports FCA, what a blessing! Tune in to next month's newsletter for all the exciting details.

FCA has started celebrating the end of winter season sports at local schools' award ceremonies for basketball, soccer and weightlifting. We have enjoyed honoring our Above the Rim, Beyond the Goal, and Endurance athletes (FCA's awards for each respective sport). These award ceremonies are great opportunities to share about FCA, its student athlete representatives and be a part of these teams' great success. Okaloosa/Walton presents each school with an award for one boy and one girl athlete from each winter sport that exemplifies the values of FCA: Integrity, Teamwork, Serving and Excellence, giving God the glory for these values they represent. What great fun it is to celebrate with the parents of all of these great athletes.

March 13, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. we will host, along with Shalimar United Methodist Church, our second annual Signature Banquet. This year’s theme will be “Sideline with the Rivals”,as Alabama and Auburn FCA Chaplains square off giving God the Glory. This is a great time for all to see how FCA impacts our current and future leaders.

Okaloosa/Walton FCA also wants to send a shout out to the elementary school community huddle for their expansive growth this year. Great job, guys! This huddle meets once a month at 7:00 a.m. for a FCA breakfast and devotion. These kids range from Kindergarten to 5th grade and love spending their mornings preparing their hearts for the daily struggles in their classrooms and to learn about how Jesus can show them how to love through all the struggles. Way to GO SHALIMAR SOULIDIERS!!

In March and April we will be hosting our 2nd annual Leadership Training so 2015-2016 leaders will have a better understanding of the importance of running an effective FCA ministry on their campus and prepare them for FCA Leadership Camp in St. Simons, Ga.

As you can see, life at Okaloosa/Walton FCA is always working for the Glory of God.

See you next month for our first opportunity to have a video included in our Newsletter!

In Christ,

Michelle Carmical
